ก่อตั้งสมาคมส่งเสริมเทคโนโลยี (ไทย-ญี่ปุ่น)โดยมีนายวารีพงษ์เวช เข้ารับตำแหน่งนายกสมาคมเป็นคนแรก
TPA was established in 1973. Mr. Waree Pongvej was officially appointed as the first president of TPA.
เปิดโครงการสอนภาษาญี่ปุ่น, ภาษาไทย, โครงการสนับสนุนเทคนิคอุตสาหกรรมผลิตตำราแปลภาษาญี่ปุ่น, ออกวารสาร ส.ส.ท. ด้านเทคโนโลยี ให้แก่สมาชิก, โครงการอบรมสัมมนา
TPA launched a language school to teach the Japanese and Thai languages. Also, TPA initiated many projects such as the supportive industrial techniques, the translated Japanese language textbooks, the publishing of the technology journals for TPA members, and the training & seminar programs.

จัดการแข่งขันหุ่นยนต์ ส.ส.ท. ชิงแชมป์ประเทศไทยระดับอุดมศึกษา เป็นครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย (Robot Contest) โดยความร่วมมือจากNichidochinและ NHK จากประเทศญี่ปุ่น

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the official opening ceremony of new TPA Office Building located on Patanakarn Road (Soi 18). In addition, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of TPA was held.

The School of Language & Culture (SLC) was awarded and certified by the Office of the Private Education Commission (the Ministry of Education of Thailand) as the 2018 Excellent Quality Assurance System for Educational Institution.

TPA was officially certified by Thailand Professional Qualification Institute
(Public Organization) as the certification body for an individual performance used in the Professional Qualification System.
ได้รับการรับรองให้เป็นศูนย์ประเมินความรู้ ความสามารถ จากกรมพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน ตาม พรบ.การส่งเสริมการพัฒนาฝึมือแรงงาน พ.ศ.2545 สาขาอาชีพช่างไฟฟ้าอิเล็กทรอนิกส์และคอมพิวเตอร์ สาขาช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร
TPA was accredited by the Department of Skill Development as the Knowledge and Competence Assessment Center. It is referred to the 2002 Act of Thailand on labor skill development promotion in the fields of electrical technicians for electronics & computer and internal building.
