Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization) and Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on professional standards and qualifications of foreign languages, interpretation, and translation professional for Thai language educator for foreigners’ project from September 2017 to September 2018

The necessity of setting professional standards and qualifications; Foreign Languages, Interpretation, and Translation Professional for Thai Language Educator for Foreigners

Nowadays, many people are interested in learning Thai as a foreign language while Thai educators for foreigners are nationally diverse; consisting of native and non-native. In addition, Thai language contains unique characters that require experience and technique to communicate correctly. Thai educator hold the burden of promoting Thai language and culture which are the singularity of Thailand.

Thus, the setting of professional standards and qualifications of Thai educator for foreigners would give ultimate benefits to people who involve with learning and teaching Thai as a foreign language. Nevertheless, this would encourage the knowledge development of personnel in this industry including the potential of communication in government, private and people sectors sustainably.
